Warriors' Draymond Green will not play Monday vs. Pacers due to rest

The Warriors will join the Pacers by playing without one of their core players Monday night in Indiana.

While Pacers star Victor Oladipo has been recently ruled out for the season with a ruptured quad, the Warriors will play without Draymond Green because of a much milder reason: rest.

Green has dealt with nagging injuries throughout the season, missing 14 of 16 games in November and December. But Draymond has played in the Dubs' last 22 games, and the team has gone 17-5 during that stretch.

The Warriors are playing their best basketball of the season, currently riding a 10-game winning streak. After they finish their road trip against the Pacers, the Dubs come home and play seven of the next nine games at Oracle Arena.

The Dubs currently are 35-12 and in first place in the Western Conference standings. If the winning streak continues and the Warriors gain more separation in the West, don't be surprised if more of their core players take off certain games for "rest" reasons.
