The Warriors have plenty of compelling storylines as they wind down the first half of the 2020-21 season, but none are as pressing as the discourse surrounding what rookie James Wiseman's official nickname should be.
Okay, fine. That's not totally true. But the hoopla regarding Wiseman's potential nickname is fun nonetheless.
In the first half of the Warriors' 111-107 win over the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday, NBC Sports Bay Area conducted a poll on Twitter to get the fans' input.
As with most Warriors topics, the opinions are conflicted.
"Big Jim," which was coined earlier in the week by Warriors' play-by-play man Bob Fitzgerald, garnered some consideration, but not everyone is a fan, including Fitzgerald's partner Kelenna Azubuike and NBC Sports Bay Area analyst Kerith Burke.
The other two suggestions, "J-Dub" and "J-Wise" faired much better, with "J-Wise" locking up nearly 40 percent of the vote following the Warriors' victory.
However, Dub Nation also chipped in many other suggestions, with "King James" being amongst the most popular of the suggestions.
We think that one might be taken already, but hey, what do we know?
Wiseman, J-Wise, J-Dub, whatever you want to call him, was sound in his second game back from a sprained wrist injury, despite fouling out. Over 18 minutes, the center put up 11 points, five rebounds and a steal in the win.
Not too shabby, Big Jim.
