The Golden State Warriors are in search of their third straight NBA championship.

The Warriors Gaming Squad -- the organization's NBA 2K League affiliate team -- recently experienced their own share of success.

Last weekend, WGS defeated 76ers Gaming club 58-39 to win the NBA 2K League's THE TURN Tournament powered by AT&T. The prize for winning the second tournament of the 2K League season? $180,000 and a championship banner.

Not too shabby.

The Warriors Gaming Squad was led by tournament MVP Xavier "Type" Vescovi, who averaged 13.3 points, 11.5 rebounds and 4.3 steals per contest while shooting 89.3 percent from the floor. Vescovi was also named Intel Gaming Player of the Game after tallying 14 points, 13 rebounds and four steals in the championship game.

The NBA 2K League launched in 2018 and features the best NBA 2K players in the world. Each of the league's 21 teams features six players who compete as unique characters in 5-on-5 play against other teams in a mix of regular-season games, tournaments and playoffs.
