The last image we could have of Kevin Durant in a Warriors jersey is him holding the back of his ruptured right Achilles tendon on the floor of Scotiabank Arena instead of celebrating yet another championship.
Durant can become a free agent on June 30 if he opts out of his $31.5 million player option with the Dubs. The Warriors obviously want to bring back their star forward, despite the fact that he'll miss the 2019-20 season with his injury.
But Warriors general manager Bob Myers and coach Steve Kerr sounded unsure of Durant's future one day after Golden State's season ended with a Game 6 loss in the NBA Finals against Toronto.

"I don't know," Myers told reporters Friday when asked about his optimism of re-signing Durant.
Kerr offered a similar tune as well.
"The injury kind of throws everything for a loop. I have no idea what Kevin is going to do," Kerr said.
Despite the uncertainty, Golden State's GM and head coach made one thing clear: They want Durant to remain a Warrior.

"I know that we all want him back," Kerr said. "We think that this is a great situation for him and vice versa, so hopefully we get him back and keep this thing going with the understanding that he's a free agent and we want what's best for him and he's free to make any choice he wants.
"Hopefully he's back, and we'll give him any advice, any console that he needs, and ultimately he's going to make his own decision. He earned that."
Myers took it even further when discussing Durant's three years so far with the Warriors.
"What more can we ask for?" Myers said. "He's been everything to us. He's been everything that we could have ever dreamed. He's been an awesome member of this organization."

Through three seasons with the Warriors, Durant has been named All-NBA all three times, he's won two championships and was named Finals MVP in back-to-back years. ESPN's Brian Windhorst reported Friday that the Warriors still intend to offer Durant a max contract this offseason worth around $221 million over five years.
If Durant's time as a Warrior has come to an end, however, he'll go down as an all-time great who checked off every box he could for Golden State.
