Klay catches fire, hits six 3-pointers in first half vs. Kings

Something about the Kings brings out the best in Warriors star Klay Thompson.

A little over six years after Thompson scored an NBA-record 37 points in the third quarter against the Kings, he had another remarkable performance against the Warriors' Northern California rival.

In just his 11th game back, Thompson lit up the Kings for 20 points in the first half of their game Thursday night at Chase Center.

Thompson couldn't miss early and finished the half 7-of-9 from the field and 6-of-8 from 3-point range.

Klay's final 3-pointer of the first half pushed him past Kobe Bryant on the NBA's all-time list. Thompson now has 1,828 and counting.

Incredibly, Klay's 20 points wasn't the game-high at halftime as Kings rookie Davion Mitchell dropped in 21 points on 9-of-12 shooting.
