Warriors' Klay Thompson to release documentary on ACL injury recovery

In light of the success of ESPN’s “The Last Dance” covering Michael Jordan's illustrious career, sports documentaries have become all the rage.

Baron Davis recently said he’s working on a documentary on the “We Believe” Warriors, and swingman Klay Thompson now will be the subject of a short documentary called "Above the Waves," going behind the scenes for his recovery from a torn ACL suffered in the 2019 NBA Finals.

Thompson went down in Game 6 with the Toronto Raptors on the ropes at Oracle Arena.

The five-time All-Star missed the entire 2019-20 season, but is expected to re-join the Warriors lineup whenever the 2020-21 season gets underway.

This isn't the first theatrical news surrounding Thompson this week, as we learned more details from LeBron James regarding "Space Jam 2."
