James Wiseman continues to face adversity in his young NBA career after coach Steve Kerr announced on Monday that the 21-year-old is heading to Santa Cruz to join the Warriors' G League affiliate.
The former No. 2 overall selection in the 2020 draft will hope to emulate Jordan Poole, who went down to the Santa Cruz Warriors in 2021 and has used that experience to become a vital player for Golden State.

Additionally, Poole believes Wiseman will dominate the G League and the 23-year-old isn't alone. Moses Moody also is in that camp and believes the Warriors' big man can make the most out of the situation due to his mindset.
"Wise has as much of an excuse as anybody," Moody said after Monday night's win on "Warriors Postgame Live." "You know, he's been out so long and just preparing to get back to this NBA level, which he's capable of playing, obviously.
"And the biggest thing for him is that he wants to learn. He wants to figure it all out. So that's a great thing for him to have in the mindset. He's going to keep an eye on when to talk. Like, I got it figured out. We both going through and trying to figure stuff out, but we are together in this."
