Most fans and pundits hope the Warriors will opt to select a big man in Wednesday night's draft, but if they go another route, this Israeli swingman seems to be a popular option.

The San Francisco Chronicle's Connor LeTourneau reported Tuesday that the Warriors continue to be "infatuated" with Avdija.

"If the Warriors move outside the top three picks, they’d likely eye Israeli small forward Deni Avdija, who can guard multiple positions and slide into a secondary-playmaker role," Letourneau wrote.

After initially being in the top three of this year's class for many experts, Avdija has slid down the consensus boards in recent weeks, and almost certainly will be a Warrior at the end of the night if Golden State opts to trade down.

Wiseman would fill the most immediate need in the Warriors' lineup and continues to be the consensus favorite as the Warriors' most likely pick at No. 2.

Questions remain about how his offensive game will translate to the next level, but he wouldn't be asked to be a major contributor on that end for the Warriors as a rookie, and could use his high-level athleticism to be a rim-runner and rim protector while continuing to polish his all-around offensive arsenal.

Reports from The San Francisco Chronicle's Connor Letourneau indicated that some in the Warriors' front office weren't sold on the big man, but seeing him at a workout in Miami appears to have changed their minds.

Unless a tantalizing trade comes along sometime in the next few hours, the smart money seems to indicate Wiseman will be the Warriors' choice.

The most widely-discussed option available at the top of this year's draft, pundits and league insiders continue to give mixed reviews of Edwards.

Most argue that he has the makings of a future superstar at the shooting guard position and showed off an impressive overall scoring ability, including the dying art of the mid-range jumper.

Edwards prides himself on defense and could prove to be an invaluable piece of the Warriors' bench as a rookie, and could potentially slide into the starting lineup eventually and move Klay Thompson to the wing.

Edwards made some waves Wednesday morning with comments about "still not being into" basketball, but don't read too much into that. Every report has indicated that Edwards is a tireless worker. Especially being under the Klutch Sports agency with Rich Paul and LeBron James, Edwards' development won't be slowing down anytime soon.

With the Minnesota Timberwolves in need of a guard to pair with D'Angelo Russell, Edwards seems likely to go No. 1 overall. But if he is available, Golden State will face a difficult choice between Edwards and Wiseman at No. 2.

We haven't heard much about Haliburton in the final days of "smokescreen season," but his character and versatile skillset should make him a bonafide top-five pick.

The Iowa State product could play a Shaun Livingston-like role for the Warriors as a rookie, and eventually develop into the franchise's next floor general.

But outside of a trade-down scenario, Haliburton won't be headed to the Warriors as he almost certainly won't go in the top three.

If a reported trade discussion between the Chicago Bulls and Warriors centered around swapping the No. 2 pick for No. 4 and Wendell Carter Jr. comes to fruition, this could be a spot where Haliburton goes to the Warriors.

Wednesday night will give the first indication as to where the future of the Big Baller Brand will be headed, as all of the teams in the top five have been linked to Ball at some point.

He also remains the most polarizing lottery prospect, with some viewing Ball as a future superstar and others foreseeing significant struggles at the NBA level.

Ball believes he was "born" to be the No. 1 pick, and Minnesota very well could draft Ball with the top selection and pair him with Russell to form a talented backcourt with two ball-dominant guards.

If he ultimately isn't selected first, it's hard to imagine Steve Kerr and the Warriors wanting to try and pair Ball's personality with the Warriors' veteran core.

As much as I hold out hope someone in the Warriors' front office agrees with me and sees Onyeka Okongwu as the Warriors' best option at No. 2, there has been absolutely zero indication that anyone in that building holds the same belief.

Despite some viewing Okongwu as a better prospect than Wiseman, no experts believe the USC product will be one of the draft's first two picks.

Okongwu currently is dealing with a toe fracture which isn't believed to impact his ability to start the 2020-21 season at full strength.

If a team comes in at the last minute and presents a trade offer that doesn't include a big man in return for the No. 2 pick, Okongwu would be a steal in the No. 7-10 range for the Warriors.
