Steph Curry isn’t letting his injury setback get in the way of having fun with his teammates.
Tuesday afternoon, Steve Kerr announced Curry would be out at least a week as he deals with a tailbone contusion. Tuesday night, Curry joined teammates Juan Toscano-Anderson and Damian Lee to have some fun playing drums with water bottles on the bench during the Warriors’ comeback attempt against the red-hot Philadelphia 76ers.
The Warriors surged in the third quarter, erasing what was once a 24-point deficit that also got an injured Klay Thompson on his feet.
Curry and the Dubs were feeling good vibes during the run, as Golden State scored 40 in the third quarter. Early in the fourth quarter, Curry and Toscano-Anderson even joked with the 76ers after a Tobias Harris charge.
But the 76ers got the last laugh in the fourth quarter and held the Warriors to just 13 points en route to a 108-98 victory.
Don’t expect Curry and his teammates to tone it down any time soon, but they were served a slice of humble pie on Tuesday.
