Steph jokingly says he lets Wiggins dunk on him in locker room

Steph Curry will do anything to make sure Warriors teammate Andrew Wiggins is motivated and aggressive in games.

Even if that means letting Wiggins jam on him behind closed doors.

After the Warriors' 116-96 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night at Chase Center, Curry was asked if he has made good on his word to send Wiggins a photo every day of his poster dunk over former Minnesota Timberwolves teammate Karl-Anthony Towns.

"The photo hasn't happened but I let him dunk on me in the locker room before the game and I yell out KAT's name," Curry said with a wry smile on his face.

"It's pretty good. It's pretty good," Curry said as members of the media laughed at the first part of his answer.

The Warriors want Wiggins to be confident and in attack-mode, so when he dropped 35 points on the Timberwolves in a 123-110 win on Nov. 10 that included two dunks on KAT, Curry joked after the game that he was going to send a photo of one of the dunks to Wiggins every day in order to fire him up.

Wiggins scored 19 points in the Warriors' win over the 76ers, and while he is averaging 19.1 points per game this season, he's averaging 23.3 points over the last eight games, including the game against the Timberwolves.

As long as Wiggins is playing like this, Curry gladly will allow himself to get dunked on in the locker room.
