Steph Curry’s shoe line continues to reflect his life and his legacy … and the latest release pays respect to the “We Believe” Warriors.
Steph’s Curry’s 8’s are inspired by the iconic 2006-07 team that saw Golden State end its long playoff drought and upset the top-seeded Dallas Mavericks in the first-round.
And they look amazing:
The “We Believe” Warriors captured the hearts of Bay Area sports fans and created a sense of hope. Naturally, the hope would continue into the Steph, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green days that brought three NBA championships to Oakland, so this is a fantastic tribute.
The Warriors occasionally wear the uniforms from the "We Believe" era for throwback, theme nights, and they unveiled their new "Oakland Forever" jerseys that play off that classic design. Now, Steph has the shoes to match.
According to Sneaker News, it appears the release date for the Curry 8’s will be on Dec. 11, just in time for the holiday shopping season.
Earlier this year, Steph released his Curry 7 "Dub Nation 2's" which paid tribute to the present Warriors in the typical blue and gold colors.
The man knows what he likes, we'll give him that.
Still, it’s going to be tough deciding between the two Warriors-themed shoes and the Sour Patch Kid colorways.
