Warriors' Steve Kerr endorses idea of NBA coaches not dressing formally

Steve Kerr doesn't want to have to put on a suit every time the Warriors take the court.

Golden State's head coach quote-tweeted ESPN's Jay Bilas after the college basketball analyst shared his thoughts on coaches no longer wearing suits and ties on the sideline and endorsed the idea.

Coaches in the NBA's bubble restart weren't mandated to wear the formal attire normally required by league rules, with most of the staff on the sidelines of the 22 teams competing in Orlando donning short-sleeved polo shirts instead.

In college basketball, participating coaches at preseason tournaments typically held in tropical areas like Hawaii and the Bahamas wear short-sleeved shirts as well, as Bilas alluded to.

It's not quite as bad as MLB coaches being forced to wear the same uniforms their players do, but there's no need to force NBA coaches to show up for games dressed like they're walking into a boardroom.

Plus, no one needs to see a grown man sweating through a white dress shirt during a nationally-televised game.
