Warriors thank DeMarcus Cousins for ‘heart and determination' in video

DeMarcus Cousins' time with the Warriors was short-lived. He joined Golden State last season, but missed quite a bit of action as he recovered from a ruptured Achilles suffered in February of 2018.

Cousins would eventually return and fared well, but that didn't last long.

Cousins then suffered a torn quad muscle in Game 2 of the first-round NBA playoff series against the Los Angeles Clippers. Despite returing for the start of the NBA Finals, it was apparent he wasn't playing at his potential.

Now, he finds his way to the City of Angels to play for the Los Angeles Lakers after agreeing to a one-year contract. But his time with Golden State was not taken for granted as the team dedicated a tribute video to him on social media:

The clip showed the four-time All-Star helping the community and working with kids on top of what he brought to the court -- 16.3 points and 8.2 rebounds in 30 games.

The Lakers' addition of Boogie could create a strong team if he can stay healthy. Yeah, I know -- that's a repetitive statement with any player, but the history speaks for itself.
