Warriors Twitter can't believe Draymond's ejection vs. Hornets

Draymond Green missed the first two minutes of the second half for a simple reason Saturday. He then missed the final 9.3 seconds of the game against the Charlotte Hornets for an inexcusable reason.

With the Warriors leading by two points, a jump ball between Brad Wanamaker and LaMelo Ball resulted in what appeared to be another jump ball. Except the referees ruled that Gordon Hayward had possession of the ball and called a timeout.

Green, the Warriors' heart and soul, argued with referees and was given two technical fouls, resulting in his ejection at the worst possible time.

Hornets guard Terry Rozier made both free throws to tie the game and then hit a game-winning 20-footer from the corner to give Charlotte a 102-100 victory.

Rozier might have gotten away with a carry before he hit the buzzer-beater, but the refs didn't call it.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr was so upset after the final shot that he kicked the basketball.

Speaking to the media shortly after the loss, Kerr said Green "crossed the line."

Understandably, Warriors Twitter was upset with Green and the fallout from his ejection. Some also were upset with the referees for ejecting the Warriors' forward in that situation.

Did Green deserve to be ejected? Maybe, maybe not. But he knows that he can't do that in that situation. He's one of the veterans on the team and he has to keep his cool in a game the Warriors absolutely needed to win.

The Warriors should have won Friday's game in Orlando and Saturday's game in Charlotte. Instead, they dropped both and head to New York with a 16-15 record.
