Warriors Under Review: Dubs' beatdown of Clippers was perfect Oracle finale

OAKLAND - In their last regular-season game at Oracle Arena, the Warriors achieved a feat they've grown accustomed to over the last five years.

Blowing out the Clippers at home.

In the 131-104 victory, Golden State outrebounded, outshot and outplayed their LA rival, clinching the top seed in the Western Conference for the fourth time in the last five years.

Here are the positives and negatives from the big win.

POSITIVE

Warriors bring out the 'We Believe' threads

Back in December, I traveled up to Sacramento for a story on the everchanging market of NBA jerseys and asked Steph Curry his perspective on Golden State's threads this season. His response?

“The biggest miss for us is we’re not wearing our throwback ‘We Believe’ jerseys,” Curry said. "Bringing those back our last year in Oakland.”

Well, on Sunday, Curry and Warriors fans got their wish, as the team unveiled the 'We Believe' throwbacks just before tip-off. The project was seemingly under wraps for much of the season, with Kevin Durant saying postgame that he only knew about the threads a week ago.

The uniforms seemed to give Golden State fuel throughout the night, as they used a 42-18 third quarter to blow the game open.

POSITIVE

Steph Curry

Two nights after draining nine 3-pointers, Curry poured in 27 points, adding five rebounds, four assists and a rare dunk that didn't count.

No one was more happy to celebrate the history of Oracle on Sunday night than Curry, who completed his Goats of Oracle series of jerseys wearing a blue Monta Ellis jersey.

The gesture was noteworthy, considering the history between the two, but in the end, as my colleague/OG Monte Poole pointed out, Curry took the high road Sunday evening.

POSITIVE

Dray Day (And Everybody's Celebratin')

Draymond Green always seems to rev up when the playoffs approach and Sunday was no different, as he finished with 10 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists, finishing plus-35 from the floor.

After a frustrating start to the season marred by injuries, Green is finding success with the postseason looming, averaging 11.6 points, 7.6 assists and 7.2 rebounds while shooting 55.8 percent from the field and 41.2 percent from 3-point range.

With Green engaged and shooting well, the Warriors road to a title will be a whole lot easier.

NEGATIVE

DeMarcus Cousins

Boogie did not play well Sunday night. While his All-Star teammates continue to flourish, Cousins struggled, finishing with 12 points on just 4-of-15 from the field.

Cousins' productivity was derailed by foul trouble. He earned three of his four fouls in the third quarter, which frustrated the big man.

The Warriors also made their initial run in the second quarter with the bench, as Andrew Bogut's defense changed the game.

Bonus

DJ D Sharp

Every great night needs a soundtrack and, as is usually the case, Oracle Arena's in-house DJ D Sharp provided it. Throughout the night, he played Oakland artists like D-Lo and Dru Down, providing the perfect vibe for the final regular-season game in The Town.

Sharp isn't new to playing the right tunes at the appropriate time. A week ago, following the murder of Nipsey Hussle, Sharp used a late timeout to pay homage to the fallen rapper, playing "Last Time That I Checc'd," putting the Warriors bench in a frenzy.

Sharp, an Oakland native, always puts on for the culture and should be recognized for it.
