The Warriors attempt to extend their winning streak to six games when they host the New Orleans Pelicans at Oracle Arena on Wednesday on the second night of a back-to-back set.
Golden State (30-14) is coming off perhaps its best game of the season, a 142-111 beatdown of the Nuggets in which the Warriors set a new NBA record by scoring 51 points in the first quarter. With the victory, the Dubs leapfrogged Denver into first place in the Western Conference.
The Pelicans have had a relatively disappointing season, although they've been better as of late. They've won four of their last five games entering Wednesday's contest to improve to 21-23 on the year, tied for 11th in the stacked West.
