What Steph believes is key to Klay's re-acclimation with Warriors

Not only is Klay Thompson back out on the court for the Warriors, but he's back to doing Klay Thompson things.

After missing two and a half seasons with two major lower-leg injuries, Thompson made his triumphant return to the court in early January and has since returned close to pre-injury form, despite a minutes restriction.

Steph Curry joined NBC Sports Bay Area's Grant Liffmann on the latest episode of Dubs Talk, where he discussed the keys to Klay getting re-acclimated on the court with the Warriors.

"I think the first couple games, maybe the first two or three you could tell how excited he was to be back," Curry said. "Understanding his minutes restrictions, he had to go after every shot immediately because he knew he was coming out. He was probably counting possessions, like 'I've only got 12 possessions to work with here, how many shots can I get up in these 12 possessions?'

"And then you start to see him be a little more patient and let the game come to him and show off his court vision in the sense that he can break somebody down off the dribble, get to the paint, he's been able to finish at the rim, he obviously got that dunk the first game, he's been kind of showing off his crafty layups a little bit."

Since his return, Thompson has shown a little bit of everything, elevating his overall game and contributing wherever he is able to.

"He's had two games with (six and seven assists)," Curry added. "Throwing behind-the-back passes, he's showing off the full repertoire and I think it comes from just being patient and letting the game come to him and enjoying the fact that he's still going to get a lot of attention out there so he's gotta use that to his advantage, taking what the defense gives him. Usually, that's because he's feeling good physically and he's getting some gains every game. I'm loving what I'm seeing."

Even with a healthy and productive Klay, the Warriors are still not at full strength. With Draymond Green missing time due to a lower-back injury, Golden State still has yet to see all three out on the court together.

Whenever Green does return, a fully-healthy Warriors squad will certainly put the NBA on notice.
