Who is the highest-paid player in Warriors history?

The Golden State Warriors are arguably the most riveting sports team of this decade. The Warriors have revolutionized basketball as we know it and caused teams around the league to attempt to emulate Golden State's pure genius from 3-point range.

In the past 10 seasons, the Warriors have made the postseason seven times, won 19 playoff series and won three NBA championships.

Over the years, the Dubs’ rosters have been filled with talent. Here are the top five earners in Warriors history based on how much they made while playing in Golden State (per Spotrac):

5. Andre Iguodala

Andre Iguodala may be one of the most instrumental pieces of the Warriors’ playoff success. While he may not be the flashiest basketball player, his defensive prowess made him one of the most talented players on the Warriors’ roster.

After playing 413 games in six seasons, Iguodala earned $78,814,815 during his time in Golden State. While he averaged only 7.3 points and 3.4 assists during his Dubs career, Iguodala's presence was always made known on both ends of the court.

4. Kevin Durant

One of the most controversial moves in NBA history involved Kevin Durant and the Warriors. On July 4, 2016, Durant announced that he would be signing with the Warriors, and the basketball world went wild. The move proved to be a successful one as he went on to win two championships with the team in 2017 and 2018 and was named Finals MVP both years.

After playing with the team for three seasons, Durant collected $81,540,100 during his time with the Warriors and then left the team in free agency in 2019. KD took his talents to Brooklyn, where he joined forces with Kyrie Irving on the Brooklyn Nets.

3. Draymond Green

Statistically, Draymond Green may not be labeled as the best player on the team, but where would the Warriors be without him? Green is one of the most vocal and versatile players on the Warriors’ roster and his tenacity has helped make Golden State an unstoppable force throughout the years. Green does all the "little things" so well, and those little things separate him from many players in the league. The 2017 Defensive Player of the Year was selected with the 35th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft by the Warriors and since then he has continued to make his voice heard on the team.

After playing 639 games, Draymond has collected $105,729,003 over his nine-year career with the Warriors.

2. Klay Thompson

Klay Thompson is arguably one of the greatest shooters in NBA history. He was selected in the first round of the 2011 NBA Draft by Golden State with the 11th overall pick and since then has played 615 games and won three championships in his Dubs career.

Klay’s time with the Warriors has been nothing short of legendary. In 2015, Thompson broke the NBA record for most points in a quarter, dropping an unbelievable 37 points in the third quarter. A few years later he went on to set the record for most 3s in a game, draining 14 3-pointers and surpassing the NBA single-game record that was held by his teammate, Steph Curry (14).

It’s safe to say that Klay has earned his keep.

Even though he missed the past two seasons with an ACL injury, his return is on the horizon.

Klay has collected $144,363,984 over 10 seasons with the Warriors.

1. Steph Curry

It comes as no surprise that the greatest shooter of all time graces the top spot as the Warriors’ highest-paid player. Although Curry’s career is far from over, he has arguably done more for this franchise than any other player.

On June 25, 2009, Curry was selected with the seventh overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft by the Warriors and since then Curry has won two MVPs, three championships and has been named an All-Star team seven times.

The two-time scoring champion has played 762 games and collected $208,955,382 over his 12-year Dubs career.

Steph could make history this summer with his Warriors contract extension and become the first player in NBA history to sign two contracts for $200+ million.
