Why Draymond appreciated back-and-forth with rookie Edwards

You have to respect those who can dish it out, and just as equally take it. Draymond Green is one of those people.

In the third quarter of the Warriors’ 123-111 win on Wednesday night over the Minnesota Timberwolves, Draymond talked trash to Wolves rookie Anthony Edwards.

Draymond yelled “Yes sir!” at Edwards after he missed a driving layup. Edwards grabbed his miss and dropped in a putback. He replied “Yes sir!” right back to Draymond.

Then Draymond yelled "Yes sir!" back. So Edwards hit him back again with another "Yes sir!"

It's audible in the video atop this post.

Later on, thanks to social media, Draymond posted on his Instagram story that the back and forth “was refreshing” between the two.

"They don't make them like this anymore," Draymond wrote about Edwards.

Draymond doesn’t care if you’re a rookie or a veteran, if he has something to say, he’s going to say it. He’s never one for holding back. But he especially knows what it’s like to take a rookie under his wing.

The three-time All-Star has been helping Warriors rookie James Wiseman with his game on and off the court, whom the Warriors selected with the No. 2 pick in the draft ... right behind Edwards.

Wiseman still is in charge of rounding up Draymond clothes when needed, however. Wonder if he says “Yes sir,” when he’s taking care of his rookie duties.
