Why Draymond's ejection won't have lingering impact on Dubs

Draymond Green's double-technical with less than 10 seconds remaining against the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday night was extremely costly.

Terry Rozier made both free throws to tie the game, and then drilled the game-winner at the buzzer to hand the Warriors a devastating loss.

Does Steve Kerr believe it will be hard for the Warriors to move on from the brutal defeat? Will there be any lingering effects?

"No. It's an easy move-on," Kerr told the media Monday after practice in New York. "Draymond has tremendous respect in this locker room. The guys adore him -- and they should. He's a great, great teammate who made a mistake.

"I've said it many times and I know the guys on the team feel the same way -- if you want to win a game, you need Draymond on your team. He's loyal, he's a competitor, he's a winner. If the price to pay on that is him spilling his emotion over the top sometimes ... so be it.

"Having said that, he knows that he crossed the line. The key for Draymond is to play with passion and energy, but know when to draw the line.

"He made a mistake, but everybody in that locker room loves him and respects him. He's our leader. We're riding with Draymond."

I could not agree more with everything Kerr said.

Furthermore, it certainly helps the locker room recover from something like this when you hear Draymond express great remorse for his actions.

The three-time NBA champion went on to say that what happened in Charlotte bothered him more than being suspended for Game 5 of the 2016 NBA Finals.

"This situation in particular I had complete control over," he told the media. "I let that control get away from me. I let the game get away from myself and my teammates.

"To take the game away from my teammates, which they worked so hard for, was a bit frustrating for me because I let them down."
