Why Warriors' ‘We Believe' uniforms have no equal in team history

Warriors fans have seen the organization achieve a monumental amount of success over the past five seasons. Three NBA championships, two MVP trophies for star Steph Curry and the opening of a multi-billion dollar palace across the Bay with Chase Center.

But many fans who were around before all the playoff glory still reflect so fondly on the 2006-07 Warriors, as an improbable upset of the top-seeded Dallas Mavericks in the postseason sent the Bay Area into a frenzy.

When Golden State played the team's final regular-season home game at Oracle Arena in 2019, the Warriors decided to trot out the iconic blue and orange uniform combination one last time for the Oakland faithful.

So when NBC Sports Bay Area asked fans which of these four jerseys would they pick, the answer is obvious.

The other three options are fine, don't get me wrong, but you can't go wrong with this classic.

Players like Baron Davis, Stephen Jackson, Matt Barnes and Jason Richardson hold a special place in Warriors lore because of this improbable run.

The emotion and excitement from the crowd once everyone realized which jersey the Warriors would be wearing on that April night was unbelievable. Getting to see Steph and Klay Thompson in the "We Believe" uniforms one last time brought a perfect end to Golden State's time playing in Oakland.

You'd be hard-pressed to find a fan who wouldn't enjoy these threads becoming part of the team's normal uniform rotation.
