Baylor (-7) at Oregon: O/U 135.0
Kenpom ranks Baylor the No. 1 team in the country and based on how they have performed, it’s hard not to agree with that.
The Bears own an average margin of victory of 26.8 PPG and rank top five in offensive (3rd) and defensive (5th) adjusted efficiency.
Baylor is on a three-game cover streak and covered six out of nine games with one push (75%), per NBC’s Edge Finder.
The Bears have not played a true road game this yet, but Baylor has played three neutral court games versus Arizona State, VCU and Michigan State.
Oregon, on the other hand, has not had that ATS success. The Ducks are 1-3 ATS in the past four games and 2-7 ATS in the past nine games. Overall, Oregon is 3-8 ATS (27.3%) on the season and 3-3 ATS (50%) at home.
Baylor ranks top five in offensive (3rd) and defensive (5th) efficiency, while Oregon ranks 30th and 104th on the season.
The Bears should have no issues scoring since the Ducks rank 275th in effective field goal defense (52.5%) and 232nd or worse in two-point (53.0%) and three-point percentage (34.4%).
These teams are on different planets and Oregon already lost to Houston, Saint Mary’s and BYU by double-digits this season. Baylor should do the same. Back Baylor up to -8.5 on the spread.
Pick: Baylor -7 (1u)
