Vaughn Dalzell breaks down how to bet the rubber match between the Colorado Rockies and Cincinnati Reds.
Reds (-115) at Rockies (-105): O/U 11.5
We hit on Colorado Monday as an underdog, but lost yesterday as they were favorites, but we run it back on the Rockies to win the home series against the Reds.
The Reds have 107 strikeouts to 29 walks against LHP this season with a. .246 BA (19th) and .677 OPS (24th). Austin Gomber, a LHP, will throw for Colorado. The Rockies have won three of the past four starts with Gomber on the mound after losing four-straight to open the 2023 season.
Cincy only has won two road series all season, against the Oakland Athletics (10-34) and Miami Marlins (21-21), so they are a fade in this rubber match. Graham Ashcraft takes the mound for the Reds and the 25-year-old RHP has no experience against the Rockies’ hitters, plus he has never ever pitched at Coors Field in his career.
I grabbed the Colorado ML at -105 odds and would go out to -125. I like the chances the Rockies win the series.
Pick: Rockies ML (1u)
