We have just one game on this Thursday due to rain in New York, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still win some money on baseball. Let’s get into how.

Seattle Mariners (+135) vs. Houston Astros (-155) Total: 7

I know that Luis Castillo is all the rage right now, and he did look stunning against the Blue Jays in the Wild Card series. With that being said, he’s not unstoppable considering his 3.17 ERA in his first stint with the Mariners, and he did give up 10 runs across 16 innings in his final three starts of the season.

The Astros are also a lot better than the Blue Jays. Given the fact that Castillo hasn’t always been unhittable and considering he has to face a top-three offense, I think it’s fair to expect some runs scored here by the Astros.

I’m no fan of Framber Valdez, either. The lefty, if you’ve forgotten, gave up 10 earned runs in total over just 4 2/3 innings in both of his World Series starts last season. He owns a 4.53 career postseason ERA and has faltered over and over throughout his career despite having some good talent and good results at times.

Anyway, I just think this number is far too low given what we’ve seen out of these offenses. The Mariners just scored seven runs on 13 hits in Game 1 and surely can get some across against Valdez.

Edge: Over 7
