Marathon Monday/Patriots Day is a big deal in Boston. It’s probably the biggest day of the year for the city. For the Red Sox, they are 71-53 on their holiday game which always begins at about 11:10 AM ET. Boston will be going for a nice series win against the Minnesota Twins.
Rich Hill, a Massachusetts native, gets the ball today. Although he struggled in his first start of 2022 (4.1 IP, three runs), he battles a Twinkies lineup that has not fared well against left-handed pitchers this season. Minnesota is significantly worse against lefties than righties with a lower batting average, on-base percentage, slugging percentage and OPS. Coming off consecutive games scoring just a combined total of one run, the slumping Twins offense might stay cold against Hill.

The Sox offense is humming right now. Twelve runs over the past two games and hunting for more. Boston gets Dylan Bundy today, the guy who is usually an automatic fade, but turned into Nolan Ryan in his first start against the Mariners. I highly doubt his transformation is permanent. His 2021 ERA of 14.29 against the Sox, not to mention his opponent batting average of .333, has me SALIVATING to jump all over Boston today. I am declaring “Fade Dylan Bundy” is back on. Laying the vig on this ain’t it for me, chief. We’re smashing the run line at plus money.
