The clean sweeparoo. Not only did yesterday’s three plays all come home, but the little extra nod to Dylan Cease hitting over 7.5 K’s AND the Orioles winning outright was the balsamic drizzle on the chicken cutlet, mozzarella, and broccoli rabe sandwich. Madonna a mi.

Speaking of food, I cannot wait to eat like a gavone this weekend for the Easter holiday. Some good value on the board for Saturday. Let us get after it, cuzzadeech.

Tampa Bay Rays (+115) @ Chicago White Sox (-136) | Over/Under 8.5 (1)

Wake up, White Sox F5, repeat. Chicago now sits at 5-1-1 in the first half of games this season. Straight butter. Saturday presents a good opportunity for Michael Kopech, who tossed a four inning, two hit, one run debut against the Tigers last week. Keep this gravy train rolling for the south side.

After plating three first half runs on Friday, Chicago’s lineup is looking like their typical aggressive selves to kick off ball games. The one concern I had yesterday was the terrible baseball weather the month of April has presented. The White Sox were easily robbed of two first half taters yesterday on account of less than stellar conditions. Still, with Kopech facing a struggling Rays’ lineup there is good reason to go back to the well on this one. I am curious to see if Tampa Bay starter Corey Kluber can replicate his 4.2 IP scoreless performance vs. one of the most dangerous offenses in the game. There is also a play to take White Sox F5 -0.5 for a little plus money play as well.

I would not lay more than -140 for the run line.

PREDICTION: White Sox F5 (-140)

Justin Verlander O/U 6.5 K’s vs. the Seattle Mariners (2)

The “other JV” was great in his debut last week against the Angels. Throwing five innings and giving up only a run while striking out seven, I have to say I was impressed. Watching the game, his stuff looked sharp.

On Saturday, he takes the bump against my 2022 hopeful team, the Seattle Mariners. Although Seattle has only struck out 65 times this season (T-14th most), this is the toughest pitcher they will have faced thus far. Throwing 80 pitches in his debut, Verlander’s workload could be widened today. Despite the fact their offense woke up Friday night, I cannot go as far as to say they are close to hitting their stride yet. I needed to see what he would look like before I started playing his overs. Having seen it, at plus money, the Astros’ ace hitting seven or more punchouts is just too good not to take a shot on.

PREDICTION: Verlander OVER 6.5 Strikeouts (+106)
