Vaughn Dalzell breaks down how he’s betting Jimmy Butler‘s player prop in Game 6 between the Miami Heat and New York Knicks.
Jimmy Butler O/U 28.5 Points vs. Knicks
Game 5 was Jimmy Butler‘s lowest scoring output of the postseason with 19 points on 5-of-12 from the field (41.7%) and 9-of-11 from the free-throw line (81.8%).
Butler’s lowest scoring output in the postseason was 25 points up until that point, so this is a big bounce back spot at home.
In Miami during the playoffs, Butler scored 27, 28, 30 and 56 points for a 35.2 points per game average on 21.2 field goal attempts and 10.2 free-throws per game.
As Miami’s leader and still without Tyler Herro, Jimmy Buckets needs to continue his current volume. Butler attempted 16, 21 and 17 field goal attempts in Games 1, 2 and 3 with 30 total free-throw attempts for 25, 28 and 27 points.
Butler has hovered around 28.5 points this entire series but has yet to hit the Over. However, this is the ideal spot for that to happen. A win at home for Miami results in an Eastern Conference Championship berth.
I played Butler Over 28.5 Points at -120 odds. I expect another 30-piece from Butler in a series-clinching home game.
Pick: Jimmy Butler Over 28.5 Points (1u)
