We have a same game parlay for Game 3 of the NBA Finals.
We target Al Horford in a bounce back spot and Jaylen Brown from downtown.
The first leg of the parlay is Al Horford Over 2.5 assists (-176) or 3+ assists. At home in the postseason, Horford is 7-2 to the Over 2.5 assists, cashing his last seven straight, per NBC’s Edge Finder.
The Warriors are allowing 28.5 assist in the series and that is despite two terrible third quarters from the Celtics offense. Horford is projected to record 3.4 per our model and despite averaging 4.5 potential assists per game in the series.
The Celtics big man noted in his press conference after Game 2 the need for ball movement. I expect Horford to have his share of potential assists and for him to record his eighth straight game of 3+ assists at home.
The second leg is Brown from distance. We will need two made three-pointers or Over 1.5 made triples at home (-425). The Celtics star has made two and three triples in Game 1 and 2 at Golden State on eight and nine three-point attempts.
Brown has made two or more three-pointers in 13 of 20 postseason games (65%) and six out of nine (66.6%) at home, per NBC’s Edge Finder. The Celtics have made 36 three-pointers in two games on 78 attempts (46.2%) and I don’t anticipate that to decline very much at home.
Brown made two and four triples against Golden State in the two regular-season meetings, so that is two-plus made three-pointers in all four meetings with the Warriors this season.
His prop is set at O/U 2.5 (-131), which the graph shows below, so we are getting this at a slight discount.
This is -110 odds for a prop that has hit a combined 13-5 at home in the playoffs and 12-2 over the last 14 games at TD Garden.
We will live bet the game accordingly, but this is the best bet for a game where player props are going to be hard to gauge.
