We have just five games on tonight’s NBA slate to wager on. The Hornets and Knicks meet at Madison Square Garden in what should be a very entertaining game with playoff implications. Odds mentioned are via our partners at PointsBet.
Orlando Magic vs. Atlanta Hawks (-12.5) Total: 218.5
The Atlanta Hawks are currently fourth in the Eastern Conference, having won four out of their last five, and are 14-7 ATS since the All-Star break. Meanwhile, the Orlando Magic have just two wins in their last 10 games and are 1-4 ATS in their last five games. The Magic are beat up right now; Otto Porter Jr., James Ennis, Terrence Ross and Michael Carter-Williams are all out tonight.
Edge Finder Tip: The Over has cashed has in Orlando’s last four games.
Edge: Over 218.5
Brooklyn Nets vs New Orleans Pelicans (-3) Total: 234.5
The Brooklyn Nets are running a skeleton squad tonight in New Orleans. Kevin Durant and James Harden are both out but they aren’t the only ones, as Reggie Perry and Nicolas Claxton are out as well. The Pelicans are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games so it’s very odd to see them as a home favorite tonight vs. Brooklyn. The Nets will be a trendy underdog tonight. Always remember to fade trendy underdogs.
Edge: Pelicans -3

Charlotte Hornets vs. New York Knicks (-5.5) Total: 208
The New York Knicks host the Hornets tonight in the Garden and the Knicks are rolling; they have the longest winning streak in the NBA at five games. New York have played themselves into the sixth spot in the Eastern Conference and will be the most heavily bet team on tonight’s slate. That’s always a tough spot to be in. The Hornets are currently the eight seed in the Eastern Conference and have just one win their last five games. The recent injury to Gordon Hayward has slowed them down, and Devonte Graham is questionable tonight. The Hornets won by 21 the last time these teams met.
Edge: Hornets +5.5

Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Sacramento Kings (-3.5) Total: 238
The Sacramento Kings are a short home favorite tonight despite only winning once in their last 10 games. The Timberwolves have not been much better, but as long as Karl-Anthony Towns and D’Angelo Russell are active, Minnesota should cover and get the win.
Edge: Timberwolves +3.5
Los Angeles Clippers vs. Portland Trail Blazers (+7) Total: 223.5
The Trail Blazers will be without Damian Lillard and Jusuf Nurkic tonight when they face the Clippers. It’s going to be very tough for them to compete. Portland have been playing poorly lately; they have only won four of their last six games. In that span they are 2-4 ATS. The Clippers, on the other hand, are getting playoff ready and preparing for a long playoff run. In their two previous meetings this season, the Clippers have blown out the Blazers each time, and it should happen again tonight.
Edge: Clippers -7
