After a big eight-game NBA slate last night, we get seven more to get after tonight, including two big Western Conference showdowns and a big inter-conference matchup.

All odds powered by PointsBet

Phoenix Suns vs. Los Angeles Clippers (-6) Total: 222.5

After defeating the Jazz in a great overtime game last night, the Suns go out of the frying pan and into the fire as they travel to the Staples Center to face the Clippers. Los Angeles is flying under the radar this season, but it is one of the best teams in the league, if not the best.

Both the Suns and Clippers are playing very well right now as Phoenix has won nine of its last 10 and Los Angeles eight of its last 10. The Clippers opened as a 5-point favorite, but that number has moved to 6. Plus, over 50% of the tickets and the handle on this game back the Clippers. As much as I want to back the Suns, I think the Clippers are the right side.

Edge: Clippers -6

Portland Trail Blazers vs. Utah Jazz (-6) Total: 232.5

The Trail Blazers and Utah Jazz meet tonight for the second time this season. Their first matchup was a blowout victory for the Jazz, but they are currently a two-game losing streak for just the third time this season.

The Trail Blazers are 15-10 ATS and 16-9 to the Over on the road this year. The Total opened at 231 and has been bet up to 233, however over 70% of the tickets are backing the Under. That indicates that the sharp side is taking the Over 232.5.

Edge Finder Tip: The Trail Blazers are 9-4 to the Over as road underdog this season.

Edge: Over 232.5

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Miami Heat (-8) Total: 204.5

The Lakers and Heat tonight meet in a rematch of last season’s NBA Finals, but the Lakers will not have LeBron James or Anthony Davis, so the luster is gone from this game. The Lakers are playing their fourth-straight road game tonight as they look to move to 3-1 on this road trip, while the Heat will try to get back on track after a nasty loss to the Grizzlies. This game’s Total seems low at 204.5 on PointsBet, but the Lakers will struggle to reach 100 points.

Edge: Under 204.5

Chicago Bulls vs. Toronto Raptors (+3.5) Total: 211.5

The horrible season for the Raptors continues tonight when they face the Bulls as home dogs without Fred VanVleet and Kyle Lowry. The Bulls have not been world-beaters as of late, going 3-7 on the money line in their last 10 games, but they have won four straight vs. the spread.

Edge: Bulls -3.5

Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Oklahoma City Thunder (+4) Total: 218.5

Trying to handicap the point spread in this game is not a winning strategy. The Total opened at 211 but has been bet up to 218 at most shops. That is a significant line movement for a lowly bet game. I would suggest fading that line movement and backing the Under.

Edge: Under 218.5

Milwaukee Bucks vs. Dallas Mavericks (-1.5) Total: 226.5

Dallas has won seven of its last 10 games, while Milwaukee has won six of its last 10. This game opened with the Bucks as a 1.5-point favorite, but that line has shifted and now the Mavericks are 1.5-point favorites.

The Mavs are 5-10 ATS this season as home favorites, which is pretty terrible, but on the bright side, they have won three in a row as favorites at home. Milwaukee is playing its sixth-straight road game tonight and Giannis Antetokounmpo is doubtful. I can’t back a team against the spread this deep into a road trip.

Edge: Mavericks -1.5

Detroit Pistons vs. Sacramento Kings (-7.5) Total: 224.5

The Kings host the Pistons, who will be without Jerami Grant, tonight in Sacramento with hopes of snapping their four-game losing streak. The Total in this game opened at 227.5 and has been bet down to 224.5. As a road dog this season, the Pistons are 14-12 to the Over, but I think they will have a hard time getting to that number with Grant out of the lineup.

Edge: Under 224.5
