Fading/Following NFL Teams; NBA Game 1 Looks

Rhamondre Stevenson

Brian Fluharty-USA TODAY Sports

On the latest episode of Bet the Edge, Jay Croucher and Drew Dinsick preview some of the 3-3 teams they are looking at backing or fading for the rest of the year. They also highlight a couple of NBA games on the first double-digit game slate of the 2022-2023 season.

Bet the Edge discusses why they are looking at buying into the Bengals for the rest of the season as they appear to have an extremely winnable schedule (+200 to win AFC North). Also on the 3-3 list are the surprising Atlanta Falcons, who will be getting 6.5 points at the Bengals in Week 7. Drew does not buy Atlanta as a legit playoff team currently despite them being 6-0 ATS this season. Jay loves the New England Patriots (+160 to make playoffs) as a team he is backing at their 3-3 mark. He believes that regardless of Mac Jones or Bailey Zappe starting at QB, they have enough firepower to steal a spot in the postseason. Mr. Croucher is not as sold on the Rams (+135 to miss playoffs) with the offensive woes that have been derailing the organization. Headlining the resurgent New York Jets at the Denver Broncos (-1.5) this weekend, the duo is awaiting further word on the mysterious “injuries” surround QB Russell Wilson. Regardless, they both expect strong defensive efforts with such a low total (39.5).

The program looks into a couple under-the-radar NBA matchups with twelve games on tap Wednesday. Drew loves the Sacramento Kings (-2.5) to give the Portland Trail Blazers the royal treatment. Jay is locking in on the Orlando Magic (+3) to put a spell on the Detroit Pistons.

Bet the Edge will highlighting several more pivotal matchups throughout the week!
