How to bet Dak Prescott versus the Titans on Thursday Night Football

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Dak Prescott O/U 29.5 Pass Attempts vs. Titans

Dak PrescottO/U 235.5 Passing Yards vs. Titans

The Cowboys and Titans looks like a snoozer as we have action in the bullpen for the Titans.

Josh Dobbs will make the start for the Titans over Malik Willis at quarterback, which is shocking. Dobbs was signed off the Lions’ practice squad eight days ago, so this is not an ideal spot to bet on the Titans.

I would not talk anyone off the Dallas spread or teasing them, but there is questionable motivation for both teams.

The Titans have lost five-straight and six of the last seven. With Dobbs starting, it seems like the offseason cannot come soon enough for Tennessee.

Dallas needs to win out (At TEN, At WSH) and Philadelophia needs to lose out (Vs NO, Vs NYG) for the Cowboys to win the NFC East. Other than that, Dallas is locked into a wildcard spot. They doubt Philly loses twice and so does the rest of the world, but this looks like an easy outright win for Dallas.

With the playoffs looming, I am sure the Cowboys do not want to overwork Dak Prescott or put him in harms way.

Prescott has thrown an interception in five-straight games and eight out of 10 this season. The Titans will have a ton of backups on defense for this game, so the Cowboys’ rushing attack should be utlitzed far more than Prescott’s arm.

Tony Pollard is out for this game, but Malik Davis steps up behind Ezekiel Elliott. With Pollard resting (thigh), there could be multiple Cowboys’ players sitting late in this game.

If you watched Bet The Edge this morning, we talked about the potential of Cooper Rush making an appearance in this game and with Dobbs making the start for Tennessee, this is a good spot to fade Dak as he might not play four quarters.

In four double-digit wins for Prescott this season, he is 2-2 to the Under and needed a 30-yard and 68-yard bomb to hit the Overs.

In those four double-digit wins, Prescott recorded 30, 25, 27 and 25 pass attempts. Prescott’s pass attempts line is 29.5, which is good for the Under as well.

I played Dak Under 235.5 Passing Yards for -115 odds and Under 29.5 Pass Attempts for -114 odds. I would play this down to 230.5 yards and 28.5 attempts. Run the damn ball, Dallas.

Pick: Under 235.5 Passing Yards (1u), Under 29.5 Pass Attempts (1u)
