Yo-yo club Fulham are back in the Premier League for the third time in five seasons, and the players and manager all have points to prove. After disappointing spells at Watford and Everton, Marco Silva wants to restore his reputation in England. Aleksandar Mitrovic wants to prove he’s good enough to lead the line and score goals at the elite level. New signing Andreas Pereira wants to show everyone he can turn his undoubted talent and potential into consistent performances.
Central midfielder Joao Palhinha has also joined from Sporting CP in a $22 million deal to help fill the void left by Fábio Carvalho. Liverpool snapped up the promising youngster for $6.49 million, and the club’s two most expensive signings Jean Michaël Seri and André Zambo Anguissa, have also moved on.
We will see more transfer activity at Craven Cottage in the following weeks as The Cottagers look to strengthen in all areas of the pitch. A pair of center-backs looks to be the priority, with Eric Bailly, Issa Diop, and Kevin Mbabu all linked.
Odds To Win The Premier League +100000
The only acceptable reason for making this bet is that you’re a diehard Fulham fan with $5 to spare. The Cottagers will finish nowhere near the top of the table.
Odd To Finish Top 10 +750
In three of the last four seasons, a newly promoted side - Wolves 7th 18/19, Sheffield United 9th 19/20, and Leeds United 9th 20/21 - have managed a top-half finish. Fulham arguably has the best chance out of the three teams who got promoted last season, so there’s some potential value here.
However, the Premier League is looking stacked this season, with Newcastle, West Ham, Leicester City, Aston Villa, Brighton, and Wolves all aiming for a top-half finish behind the traditional Big Six. Take a pass on Silva’s side finishing in the Top 10.

Odds To Be Relegated +125
Any newly-promoted side at plus money to be relegated is always worth considering, especially a club like Fulham, who have failed to avoid the drop in their last three attempts and lack depth at the back.
At the time of writing, Silva only has six recognized defenders in his squad after Alfie Mawson, Michael Hector, and Cyrus Christie were released, and Steven Sessegnon loaned to Charlton Athletic. If a couple of transfer targets reject Fulham, fail to settle, or pick up long-term injuries, this season could be a real struggle for them in defense.
There’s good value backing Fulham to return to the Championship now before a couple of signings potentially shorten their odds.
Aleksandar Mitrovic To Win The Golden Boot +4000
Mitrovic achieved goalscoring god status in the Championship last season with 43 goals in 44 games from 198 shots. The chance of him even coming close to that feat is near impossible when you consider Mohamed Salah topped the charts last season with 139 shots.
With Fulham set to be on the back foot for the majority of their fixtures, making chances difficult to come by, it will be an achievement for the Serbian international just to match his highest Premier League tally of 11 goals in 18/19.
There’s next to no value backing Mitrovic for the Golden Boot.
