It’s crazy to believe that we are already at matchday 13 of 38 and just one month away from the World Cup. The Premier League season has been nothing short of its surprises. Surprises like Arsenal being on top of the table or Leicester City having just two wins on the season and being in the bottom three. What’s not surprising is that Erling Haaland is on an absolute tear. His 15 goals are more than 10 teams in the EPL and the same number of goals that both Manchester United and Chelsea have scored. This week we are treated to a few matches that should give us fireworks. However, I am attacking the possible low-scoring affair between Wolves and Leicester City:
Wolves vs Leicester City (Sunday, 9 a.m. ET)
Three-way Moneyline: Wolves (+125) | Draw (+240) | Leicester City (+220)
Bet: Both teams to score “no” (+108)
Bet: Under 2.5 goals (-115)
Brendan Rodgers’ men head to West Midlands hoping to dig themselves out of the relegation hole they are in. They also hope to earn their first road point of the season. Starting the season 0-5 on the road doesn’t necessarily spark confidence for the sixth match. This weekend they have a tall task because they will be without the services of in-form James Maddison. Despite beating Leeds 2-nil during the week, the absence of Maddison was felt. Harvey Barnes was sensational, but Leicester as a team only managed to register a 0.79 xG. The offensive struggles should continue, especially on the road against Wolves.
Wolves have been solid defensively this season, and more so at home. They have conceded just four goals at home this season, three of which were scored by Manchester City. Newcastle got a goal as well, but in that match, the total still went under 2.5 goals. Wolves have kept clean sheets in three of the five matches, and four of the five went under. They struggle in front of net, but the play of Jose Sa has been phenomenal.
With BTTS No hitting in 74% of the matches, it’s hard not to see the value at +108. I’d probably look at the live market if there should be an early goal in the match. Something around under 3.0 or 3.5 goals would be my target.
Whatever EPL games you bet on this weekend, best of luck, and I hope you have a ton of fun!
