Alcaraz to Usher in a New Era with Win Over Ruud

Carlos Alcaraz (-230) and Casper Ruud (+175) face-off today at Arthur Ashe Stadium. The winner claims the final Grand Slam of the season. The title will be the first Slam for the winner and will catapult said champion to World #1.

Current World #5 Ruud arrives at the Final having been taken to five sets only one time over the course of the fortnight while World #4 Alcaraz has been taken to five sets in each of his last three matches at the Open.

The Women’s Doubles Final is also Sunday afternoon. Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova of the Czech Republic take on the American team of Taylor Townsend and Caty McNally. Townsend and Siniakova will be meeting for the 2^nd time in the last 14 days as Townsend knocked off Siniakova in the 1^st round of the women’s singles portion of the tournament of the Open.

NBC Sports EDGE Analyst Kenny Ducey (@Kenny Ducey) expects a close match in the Men’s Final but that Alcaraz will ultimately prevail and claim his first Grand Slam title in the process. EDGE Analyst Drew Dinsick (@whale_capper) sees value in the Women’s Doubles Final. He likes the team of Townsend and McNally to knock off Krejcikova and Siniakova.

The Daily Deuce split on Saturday. The Women’s Final went 21 games, but the OVER was 21.5 games. However, the Mixed Doubles team of Sanders/Peers claimed victory in the Final against Roger-Vasselin/Flipkens. The Daily Deuce takes a record of 13-12 into the tournament’s final day.
