Morning Skate: Jagr considering playing in Europe

Share

Here are all the links from around the hockey world, and what I’m reading while happily talking about movies from 21 years ago.

*Jaromir Jagr is considering playing in Europe while an NHL opportunity emerges, and perhaps even playing for the team he owns. So is that like a possible Reg Dunlop situation in the Czech Republic because that would be pretty awesome?

*Matt Duchene, while waiting to be traded, has a dream-like summer hockey training program in the area of his getaway cottage.

*Down Goes Brown gives a list of five NHL teams that might be this year’s Colorado Avalanche, where the bottom is about to drop out for them. The good news for Bruins fans is that the Black and Gold are most definitely not on this list.

*Now, this is how you throw out the first pitch at a Major League Baseball game if you’re true hockey player.

*Riley Sheahan had a rough season with the Detroit Red Wings in a year where they missed the playoff cut, so it’s pretty clear more is expected this season.

*Spend a day with Dion Phaneuf and Elisha Cuthbert. Or don’t. Either way the link is here for you and you don’t have to spend a day with Sean Avery. That would be cruel and unusual punishment.

*Here’s an older Sirius XM Home Ice interview with former Bruins defenseman Andrew Ference from about a month ago as he moves on to the next chapter of his career.

*For something completely different: If you wanted to see Leslie Jones watching last weekend’s Game of Thrones episode, you’re in luck. Varys dropping in midway through the video just makes it all the better.
