Blakely: Celtics ‘just not the same' without Smart

The Boston Celtics will be without Marcus Smart for at least a couple of weeks following a left knee injury against the Brooklyn Nets on Friday.

CSNNE.com Insider A. Sherrod Blakely joined Sports Sunday to discuss Smart’s injury and how it will impact the Celtics moving forward.

“They’re saying, ‘at least two weeks,’ but looking at his track record I think it’s probably going to be closer to Christmas when we see this guy back,” said Blakely. “He was really, I thought, one of those glue guys for that defense. When you look at them without him in the lineup, they’re just not the same. They don’t have that guy that can really impact the game and not necessarily put up points. So they’re going to miss him a lot. They really are.”
