There’s no love lost between Paul Pierce and Brandon Jennings.

In May, Jennings took a shot at Paul Pierce’s retirement when he tweeted, “1 ring don’t mean you should get a farewell tour.”

Pierce returned the favor later that month, implying that Jennings shouldn’t even be in the NBA after a bad postseason. When Jennings tweeted he’d “be at West 4th Tomorrow hooping,” Pierce suggested that he "stay there."

It appears Jennings took Pierce’s advice.

The 27-year-old guard has reportedly agreed to a one-year, $1.5 million to to play for China Shanxi. According to Marc Spears, Jennings hopes to return to the NBA after his one season in China.

Pierce responded on Twitter when he was informed of Jennings’ decision.
