Maxwell: ‘The chemistry is excellent' on Celtics

The Boston Celtics are in the thick of things in the Eastern Conference, and just got a huge win over LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night.

As the trade deadline draws near, many are wondering if the Celtics will try to take the next step and acquire a player or hang on to their assets and take their chances in the draft.

Cedric Maxwell doesn’t want to see the Celtics part with all their assets to make a run at the title this season.

“I think you wait. I think if you look at this team, they’re solid,” said Maxwell. “You’ve got a great coach. They’ve got players who are good. Eventually you’re going to find that guy, that home run hitter.

“At the same time if you look at this team right now, Danny Ainge has always said one thing, ‘I’m not going to make a trade for trades sake.’ If he doesn’t, you look at this team right now, they’ve got a collection of guys who are playing well. The chemistry is excellent on this team. I really love this about this club.”
