Game 1 lineups, Red Sox vs. Indians: Sox look for a quick getaway

Share

When the Red Sox opened the regular season, six months ago, it was at Progressive Field in Cleveland. New ace David Price worked six innings with 10 strikeouts, David Ortiz kicked off his remarkable final season with a put-the-game-away two-run homer in the ninth, and the Sox came away with a 6-2 victory over the Indians.

Now they're opening the postseason in the same place. They have a newer ace, Rick Porcello, on the mound (Price, of course, will pitch Game 2 on Friday). Ortiz is once again hitting fourth. And the Sox are hoping for a similar result as they start what they hope will be a long October run.
