The Red Sox pitching staff as a whole has been a huge disappointment this season. Jon Lester and Josh Beckett haven't had the results that anybody -- including themselves especially -- expected.
Beckett's ship may have already sailed here in Boston, but there's no reason to think Lester's has. But is he the "ace"? And if so, is he a good enough one to bring the Sox another World Series? Are they deep enough behind him to make up for it?
