Friday's Red Sox-Rays lineups: Hill makes Sox debut at 3B

A day after being acquired by the Red Sox in a trade with the Milwaukee Brewers, Aaron Hill is in the starting lineup, batting eighth and playing third base, as the Red Sox open a three-game series with the Tampa Bay Rays tonight at Fenway Park.

Hill, 34, was hitting .283 with eight homers and 29 RBI for the Brewers. The right-handed hitter will likely be platooned at third with Travis Shaw, who has a bruised foot and is day-to-day.

Sean O’Sullivan (2-0, 6.61 ERA) makes his third start for the Red Sox. He’ll be opposed by Chris Archer (4-11, 4.50)
