David Price was in a good enough mood after meeting with Dr. James Andrews to tweet a joke about the NFL combine or something.
Price, who flew to Indianapolis to meet with the famous orthopedic surgeon, underwent an MRI for elbow sources this week amid concerns that his elbow soreness could cause him to miss significant time. John Farrell used the word “concerned” on Thursday when discussing the veteran pitcher’s situation.
Price was chipper enough after his evaluation to at least reduce concerns of Tommy John surgery and a potentially lost season.
Confusion about the island stuff aside, the takeaway here is that Price says he's heading back to spring training. Maybe that's a good sign.
