The Red Sox look to quickly bounce back from their 12-5 loss to the Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday night with a matinee makeup game against the Pittsburgh Pirates this afternoon (2:05) at Fenway Park.

The game is being made up from a rainout last Thursday. Left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez (0-1, 7.25 ERA) makes his second start for the Red Sox after allowing four runs in a loss in Detroit in his season debut. He's opposed by Pirates right-hander Chad Kuhl, (1-0, 3.60), who won his first start against the Atlanta Braves despite walking six in five innings.

Pablo Sandoval, off to a .133 start (4-for-30, two home runs) gets the day off to start as Marco Hernandez starts at third base for Boston and Brock Holt starts in left field. First baseman Mitch Moreland (.323) has hit a double in six consecutive games, tying a Red Sox record. He leads the majors with seven doubles.
