The Boston Bruins' fifth-round selection in the 2020 NHL Draft won't be playing too far from TD Garden next year.

The B's used their No. 151 overall pick on defenseman Mason Langenbrunner, a Harvard commit. He's also the son of former NHLer and B’s player development coordinator Jamie Langenbrunner.

Langenbrunner was a go-to D-man for the Eden Prairie Eagles in 2019, tallying 19 points in 25 games played. The 18-year-old Minnesotan is ranked 131st among North American skaters according to NHL Central Scouting.

Each of the Bruins' first three 2020 draft picks are American-born players, as the B's also selected Wisconsin native Mason Lohrei in Round 2 and New York native Trevor Kuntar in Round 3.
