The Boston Bruins added their second defenseman of the 2022 NHL Draft in the seventh round.

Jackson Edward, an 18-year-old Ontario native, was selected by the B's with the No. 200 overall pick. The left-shot d-man played for the London Knights of the OHL last season.

Edward tallied six assists in 54 games with the Knights in 2021-22. The 6-foot-2, 194-pounder didn't play in 2020-21 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Edward is a big blueliner with an ideal frame that he continues to grow into," Josh Thomas of FC Hockey writes. "He is an extremely raw prospect, but the flashes of high-end skill leave you wanting more. He skates really well for his size, which pairs along with some pretty nifty and shifty hands that he likes to showcase on the rush.”

The Bruins also selected defenseman Frederic Brunet out of the QMJHL in Round 5. They picked centers in the first three rounds of the draft and a goaltender in Round 6.
