Best Game 7 performances in Boston sports history

For the first time in their franchise history, the Bruins are playing Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final on home ice. Tonight's winner-take-all game comes 35 years to the day after the last championship Game 7 in Boston — a 111-102 Celtics win over the Lakers to clinch the 15th title in C's history.

For some Bruins, it's their second time playing a Game 7 with a Stanley Cup on the line. Back in 2011, Tim Thomas made 37 saves in a 4-0 win over the Canucks, adding his name to a lengthy list of memorable Game 7 performances from Boston athletes over the years.

From Bill Russell to Larry Bird, from Brad Park to Patrice Bergeron, from Roger Clemens to Johnny Damon, the heroics have included overtime goals, game-winning steals, home runs and more.

Will any Bruins players be able to add their names to this illustrious history Wednesday night?
