Blues score after shocking non-call in Stanley Cup Game 5 vs. Bruins

BOSTON -- The St. Louis Blues took a 2-0 lead in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final immediately after one of the worst missed calls in recent playoff memory.

David Perron beat Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask to double St. Louis' advantage, but not before Blues forward Tyler Bozak tripped B's forward Noel Acciari with the referee standing right behind the play. No call was made, and seconds later the Bruins were facing a steep uphill climb with less than 10 minutes remaining in the third period.

The officiating throughout Thursday night's matchup at TD Garden was a bit suspect. The Blues threw a few high hits early in the game, including one by Ivan Barbashev (watch here) that appeared to make contact with Marcus  Johansson's head. No penalties were called on those hits.

The series was tied at two wins apiece entering Game 5. If the Blues win, they will have a chance to clinch their first Stanley Cup title back home in Sunday's Game 6.
