The hot streak Brad Marchand has been on for the Boston Bruins reached yet another level Wednesday afternoon.
Although Marchand saw his six-game point streak come to an end in Tuesday's loss to the Carolina Hurricanes, he was still firing on all cylinders on social media.

To be fair, the Hurricanes (26-8-2) had every right to be boastful following a 7-1 win over the Bruins at TD Garden, including a five-goal onslaught in the first period.
But Marchand put Carolina right back in its place, reminding the team of where it stands in the NHL's financial hierarchy.
Marchand took the Hurricanes, ranked as the sixth-least valuable franchise in the league by Forbes in 2021, to task for being among the teams that do nothing to increase the league's revenue and force players to pay a portion of their salary into escrow under the collective bargaining agreement.
For the current season, players pay 17.2 percent of their salaries into escrow, down from 20 percent during the 2020-21 season.

No word on how the Hurricanes would affect league revenues if they returned to their original home in New England as the Hartford Whalers.
Boston next hosts Carolina, which is now 2-0 against the Bruins this season, on Feb. 10. Boston has eliminated the 'Canes from the postseason in two of the last three seasons, however.
