Boston Bruins right wing David Pastrnak dominated the competition in January, and he received a well-deserved honor from the NHL on Wednesday as a result.
Pastrnak was named the league's No. 2 star for January after tying for the lead in goals during the month with 13. His 21 points in January were the third-most of any player.
New Jersey Devils center Jack Hughes was the No. 1 star and Seattle Kraken defenseman Vince Dunn was the No. 3 star.

Pastrnak played 14 games for the Bruins in January and tallied at least one goal or assist in 10 of them. His impressive scoring production helped Boston earn a 10-3-1 record during January to maintain its lead atop the league standings.
The 26-year-old superstar enters Wednesday night's game against the Maple Leafs in Toronto with 71 points (38 goals, 33 assists) in 50 games. He is three goals behind Edmonton Oilers center Connor McDavid for the league lead.
Pastrnak will represent the Bruins at the 2023 NHL All-Star Game this weekend in Florida, alongside goaltender Linus Ullmark and head coach Jim Montgomery.
